I would like to introduce the new owners of Mother’s Instinct, Anastasia and Heath George. Anastasia has been a customer of mine for many years now, she is passionate about cloth nappies, having used cloth nappies for her two daughters, now 3 & 2, and also planning on continuing with cloth nappies for number three, due in June 2010.
Anastasia has a wealth of knowledge about cloth nappies, having tried just about every brand available, and she is looking forward to helping Mother’s Instinct customers choose the right nappy for their bundle of joy.
I know that Anastasia has always wanted to be more involved in the cloth nappy industry, with owing and running a nappy business a long time dream of hers.
Anastasia and Heath are excited about taking over Mother’s Instinct, and I am excited that Mother’s Instinct will be in the hands of someone as passionate about cloth nappies and baby products as I am. Anastasia and Heath will introduce themselves and their family more comprehensively when they open up the site on 18 January 2010.
The site will be closing for orders from the 1st January until the 18th when it reopens again with the new owners. If you are wanting orders before this time please ensure you get these in prior to January.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful customers that have supported us over the years since our humble beginnings in 2006. It has been a wonderful journey and I have enjoyed being a part of it.
I will remain in the industry but will be focusing on our New Zealand distribution brand itti bitti, in which Mother’s Instinct are a proud stockist of! Some much needed time will also be spent with my family after a year of ill health.

Mother’s Instinct was started by Karyn in 2006 when Isaac was a few months old.
Little did she know that selling a few 
nappies on Trademe would lead the business to where it is today! The time has now come – to hand over her baby!
Mother’s Instinct are now one of the leading modern cloth nappy stores here in New Zealand with a great reputation in the business.
It is becoming a lot of work, for Karyn on her own so we would suggest a partnership with someone could be a good idea, if you would plan on growing this business further. The hard yards have been done!
It requires some fairly serious storage space, OR maybe now is the time for it to become an in real life store – that would be exciting!
